How To Counter Suyou Using Wanwan Base Damage Skills Analysis : Guide And Tutorial Mobile Legends Bang Bang

How To Counter Suyou Using Wanwan
Suyou versus Wanwan

Battle Analysis: Suyou (Fighter/Assassin) vs. Wanwan (Marksman)

Let's evaluate the skills and damage potential of both heroes without items, focusing on base damage and utility. This will help determine who will prevail in a one-on-one battle.

Suyou: Skill and Damage Breakdown

  1. Passive: Transient Immortal

    • Mortal Form: 40 bonus Movement Speed and increased attack speed. Useful for mobility and fast-paced engagement.
    • Immortal Form: 125% enhanced Basic Attack damage and up to 40% Damage Reduction. In longer fights, the damage reduction and enhanced attack are critical.
  2. First Skill: Blade Surge

    • Tap: Deals 625 (+250% Extra Physical Attack) in total damage and allows Suyou to blink to the target's location.
    • Hold: Deals 250 (+100% Extra Physical Attack) damage and stuns the enemy for 0.6s, with increased range when held longer.
  3. Second Skill: Soul Sever

    • Tap: Deals 300 (+200% Extra Physical Attack) damage + 20% of the target's lost HP. Great for finishing off weakened targets.
    • Hold: Three cleaves that deal 250 + 250 + 400 = 900 (+360% Extra Physical Attack) in total, with a healing effect on the final strike.
  4. Ultimate: Evil Queller

    • Tap: Deals 420 (+120% Extra Physical Attack) and slows the target by 30% for 1.5 seconds.
    • Hold: Deals 580 (+165% Extra Physical Attack) in a longer-range shot, providing massive damage with an increased hold time.

Wanwan: Skill and Damage Breakdown

  1. Passive: Tiger Pace

    • Hitting weaknesses exposes the enemy, dealing True Damage (67 + 3 per hero level) and increasing subsequent attack damage by 10%. The ability to dash after each Basic Attack gives Wanwan exceptional mobility and kiting potential.
  2. First Skill: Swallow's Path

    • Deals 120 (+40% Total Physical Attack) on the first hit, followed by 60 (+65% Total Physical Attack) from returning daggers. If an enemy is hit twice, they are immobilized for 0.5 seconds.
  3. Second Skill: Needles in Flowers

    • Deals 150 (+60% Total Physical Attack) to enemies and removes all control effects on Wanwan, resetting her mobility through Tiger Pace.
  4. Ultimate: Crossbow of Tang

    • Wanwan enters an untargetable state and fires arrows dealing 60 (+35% Total Physical Attack) per shot for 2.5 seconds, extending her skill duration if she kills her target. Each arrow counts as Basic Attack damage, meaning they can trigger her True Damage passive and her short dashes.

Damage Comparison and Calculations

Suyou's Full Combo (Mortal Form, Tap Skills)

  • Blade Surge (Tap): 625 base Physical Damage
  • Soul Sever (Tap): 300 base Physical Damage + 20% of target's lost HP (scaling, but initially ignored)
  • Evil Queller (Tap): 420 base Physical Damage

Total Burst Damage:

  • 625 + 300 + 420 = 1,345 base Physical Damage before scaling.

If we assume Suyou hits all his abilities, his base burst is substantial and can quickly drain Wanwan's HP.

Suyou's Full Combo (Immortal Form, Hold Skills)

  • Blade Surge (Hold): 250 base Physical Damage + 0.6s stun.
  • Soul Sever (Hold): 250 + 250 + 400 = 900 base Physical Damage from 3 cleaves, with the last cleave healing Suyou.
  • Evil Queller (Hold): 580 base Physical Damage.

Total Burst Damage:

  • 250 + 900 + 580 = 1,730 base Physical Damage before scaling.
Additionally, 20% to 40% Damage Reduction in Immortal form makes Suyou tankier during this combo, giving him high survivability.

Wanwan's Full Combo

Wanwan's damage output relies on attacking weaknesses and her Ultimate (Crossbow of Tang), which requires all of Suyou’s weaknesses to be exposed before activation.

  • Swallow's Path (first pass): 120 base Physical Damage.
  • Swallow's Path (returning daggers): 60 x 3 = 180 base Physical Damage if all daggers hit.
  • Needles in Flowers: 150 base Physical Damage.

For her Ultimate (Crossbow of Tang):

  • Deals 60 base Physical Damage per arrow, and lasts for 2.5 seconds. At full speed, Wanwan can fire up to 12 arrows, resulting in 12 x 60 = 720 base Physical Damage.

Total Combo Burst Damage:

  • 120 + 180 + 150 + 720 = 1,170 base Physical Damage.
However, Wanwan’s True Damage from her passive should also be considered. Assuming she hits all weaknesses, she will deal around 67 (level 1) True Damage per hit. For 12 hits (from her Ultimate), that totals 67 x 12 = 804 True Damage.

Wanwan’s Total Damage (with True Damage):

  • 1,170 Physical Damage + 804 True Damage = 1,974 Total Damage.

Engagement and Strategy

  1. Suyou's Advantage:

    • Burst Potential: Suyou can deal significant burst damage with his tap-cast skills and sustain a longer fight with hold-cast skills.
    • Survivability: In Immortal Form, Suyou gains up to 40% Damage Reduction, which could drastically reduce Wanwan's overall damage.
    • CC and Mobility: Suyou has a stun and multiple mobility options, enabling him to chase or escape effectively.
  2. Wanwan's Advantage:

    • Mobility: Wanwan’s Tiger Pace and dashes allow her to kite and reposition easily. This could help her avoid Suyou’s burst combo if she is not stunned.
    • True Damage: Wanwan's True Damage bypasses Suyou’s Damage Reduction from Immortal Form, allowing her to consistently deal damage regardless of his defenses.
    • Untargetability: During Crossbow of Tang, Wanwan becomes untargetable and invincible, which prevents Suyou from damaging her during this time.

Battle Outcome:

  • In a head-on clash, Suyou's burst damage in Immortal Form (1,730 base Physical Damage) can easily overwhelm Wanwan before she can trigger her Ultimate. His stun from Blade Surge (Hold) can prevent Wanwan from kiting effectively and lock her down for a combo. Additionally, Suyou's 40% Damage Reduction can mitigate a significant portion of Wanwan’s damage.

  • However, if Wanwan can play to her strength and kite Suyou, her True Damage from Tiger Pace and invincibility during Crossbow of Tang could turn the battle in her favor. She would need to carefully dodge Suyou's abilities and avoid his stun while hitting all her weaknesses.

  • Overall: The advantage lies with Suyou in most scenarios due to his superior burst potential, damage mitigation, and control. Wanwan would only win if she can kite perfectly and land all her True Damage hits while avoiding Suyou’s critical CC abilities.
